Good places to meet to play [May. 7th, 2009|05:27 pm]

[Current Mood |busybusy]

So I've been planning to get together with some friends to play some board games. I was going to do it at the Imperial Pub, but apparently they only let board gamers use the back room, and their food still isn't great.

That's why I'm hoping some of you might have suggestions -- where that is TTC accessible is a good place to have an impromptu gathering of friends to play board games? I was imagining either a pub or cafe.

I don't know if C'est What? (corner of Front & Church) still has a collection of boardgames, but they used to have a bunch patrons could break out and play while dining.

Even if they don't have their own games anymore, I'm sure they wouldn't object to gamer/customers.

A lot of the space on the UofT campus is pretty much always open to everyone. I'd recommend Sydney Smith Hall, and any of the non Robart's Libraries (i.e. Pratt Library) because they have conference rooms.

A lot of my gamers play at Ryerson campus.
Fox and Fiddle are cool with gaming as well as Foxes Den. Check em out.
